The next Blackboard maintenance is scheduled for April 4th. Blackboard may be interrupted intermittently while maintenance is being performed on that day. Please plan accordingly. Thank you.
Blackboard lists Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox latest version (26) as certified (fully tested and supported) for windows 7. We recommend having multiple browsers installed on your computer so that it is easy to switch to a different browser when there is a browser related issue. Please check system requirements that are necessary in order for you to access AWC blackboard version 9.1. The page includes browsers compatibility list for Windows and Mac. System Requirement Firefox Release Channel is the fully tested version by Mozilla and intended to be the most stable. If your course includes embedded content such as YouTube videos and blackboard is displaying the content as blank space , please click here to check how to fix browsers settings in order to display embedded content.
The AWC Distance Education Department, in coordination with the Information Technology Department, has implemented a schedule for planned Blackboard maintenance in order to minimize the unscheduled downtime. Below is the schedule for the remainder of School Year 2016-2017. We will be performing maintenance beginning in the early morning on these days. Please be advised that Blackboard availability may be intermittent during the maintenance activities, so plan accordingly. We will send out additional reminders as the days approach.
October 24, November 15, December 20, January 26, February 16, April 4, May 24 and June 14.
Please note that when you sign up for a class, there is a delay before that class shows up in Blackboard. That delay is typically fifteen minutes or less, but can be longer depending on other system processes.
